Delete your SchooLane data

You can ask us to delete your SchooLane account and the personal information we hold about you. This applies to everyone, including parents who signed in with Facebook or Google.

Option 1: from the parents app

  1. Open the SchooLane parents app and go to the Profile tab.
  2. Choose Privacy & Security, then Request Account Deletion.
  3. Your email app opens with the request already written. It goes to your school, or to us if your school has no contact set up. Send it.

Option 2: by email

Email privacy@schoolane.app from the email address on your account with the subject Account Deletion Request. Tell us which email address your account uses. We may reply to confirm it is you before deleting anything.

What happens next

  • We remove your personal information from our active databases within 30 days, except where we must keep it for legal, regulatory or security reasons (see our Privacy Policy, section 5).
  • Records about a child that your school keeps as part of its own school records are the school's responsibility. To change or delete those, contact your school administrator.
  • Audit logs and anonymised analytics may be kept for longer, as the Privacy Policy describes.

If you signed in with Facebook or Google

SchooLane does not create accounts from Facebook or Google. It only signs in the account your school already set up, and keeps the link between that account and your Facebook or Google profile. Deleting your SchooLane account deletes that link. We never post to your Facebook or Google account.

You can also remove SchooLane's access from your side at any time. On Facebook, open Settings, then Apps and websites, find SchooLane and remove it. On Google, open your account's Security page and remove SchooLane under Your connections to third-party apps and services. Removing it there stops the sign-in button working; it does not delete your SchooLane data, so send a request as above too.
