SchooLane Learn
Privacy policy
Effective September 25, 2026
This policy explains the information used by the SchooLane Learn mobile app and its learning service. It supplements the broader SchooLane privacy policy. Learn is operated by SchooLane, a service of Fpoint5 Ltd. For the initial pilot, learners sign in with a SchooLane account. The Learn app does not create accounts.
Information Learn uses
- Account and access:the learner's name, email address, and SchooLane sign-in details. The app stores a sign-in token securely on the device.
- Learning activity: courses opened, lesson and question responses (including written explanations), feedback, practice points, completion history, flashcard ratings, and review dates. These records let a learner resume and review.
- Service data: basic request and device details needed to deliver the app, protect accounts, diagnose failures, and maintain the service. Sound and vibration preferences stay on the device.
How the information is used
We use it to verify sign-in, present published learning content, save responses and progress, schedule review cards, provide support, and protect the service. Practice points and responses in Learn are not official school grades. Content may be prepared with AI assistance and reviewed by a person before publication; the current Learn app does not send learner answers to an external AI tutor.
Schools and children
The current Learn catalogue contains the same published courses for signed-in SchooLane accounts; school-specific course assignment is not yet available. Parents and guardians should contact their school about a school-provided account or learning record. They may also contact us directly at privacy@schoolane.app. We will update this policy when account or course access changes.
Sharing and analytics
SchooLane uses Cloudflare infrastructure to deliver and store Learn data. We do not sell learner information or show ads in Learn. The current learner app does not include Google Analytics or PostHog tracking, session replay, or advertising identifiers. We may review aggregate counts derived from learning records, such as lessons completed and cards reviewed, to improve the product. We will update this policy and the store disclosures before adding any third-party analytics to the learner app.
Access, correction, and deletion
We keep learning records while needed to provide a learner's active access, respond to support and security issues, or meet applicable obligations. A school, parent, or guardian can ask about access, correction, or deletion by emailing privacy@schoolane.app. We will work with the school when the request concerns a school-provided account. Signing out removes the app's local sign-in token; it does not delete the learning record.
Changes and questions
We will update the date on this page when the policy changes. For privacy questions, contact privacy@schoolane.app. For help using Learn, contact support@schoolane.app.
